Stake Adult Fireside Series for Strengthening Families

As a stake presidency, we regularly ponder the day-to-day challenges that we all face. We have felt a clear impression to assist all of us in our familial responsibilities. As a result, we are excited to announce an inspiring five-part fireside series, Strengthening Families Through All Seasons of Life, designed to support and uplift families at every stage. Guided by President Russell M. Nelson’s teaching that “the home is the center of faith and protection,” this series will provide practical, doctrinally sound tools to help you create a home-centered, Church-supported gospel environment. Whether you are single, married, parenting young children, guiding teens, or enjoying the golden years, these firesides will offer insights to strengthen your family and faith.

1. Strengthening Families in a Challenging World: A Home-Centered Approach
   Date: Sunday, July 27, 2025
   Presenter: Bryan Korth
   Focus: Discover how to foster spiritual growth in your home by embracing your divine identity and implementing family councils. Learn practical ways to teach gospel principles daily using resources like Come, Follow Me.

2. Making Your Home a Sanctuary: Inviting the Spirit While Raising Young Children
   Date: Sunday, August 24, 2025
   Presenter: Katie Hendrickson
   Focus: Explore strategies for meaningful family prayer, scripture study, and home evening while managing the demands of early parenthood. Learn how to use Church media and the Gospel Library app to create sacred moments in daily routines.

3. Navigating Transitions: Home-Centered Living As Our Children Grow
   Date: Sunday, September 28, 2025
   Presenter: Nevin Alderman
   Focus: Adapt home-centered practices for the teen years with tools like the Church’s goal-setting program. Discuss healthy digital boundaries, media discernment, and ways to guide teens while respecting their agency.

4. Leaving a Legacy of Faith: Home-Centered Principles for the Golden Years
   Date: Sunday, October 26, 2025
   Presenters: Diane and Mark Avery
   Focus: Strengthen multi-generational families through grandparenting, sharing testimonies, and family history. Learn how empty-nest couples can reinvigorate their spiritual practices and make their home a gathering place for loved ones.

5. Building a Christ-Centered Marriage
   Date: Sunday, November 9, 2025
   Presenter: Scott Braithwaite
   Focus: Apply principles from The Family: A Proclamation to the World to make your marriage a cornerstone of a Spirit-filled home. Gain practical communication tools to foster unity, even when spouses are at different spiritual stages.
